KX6 - KX6
KX6 has been a very popular SU Holiday for many years, and young people keep on coming back and are part of the camp family.
There is a wide choice of activity options presented to young people every day. These include challenging, relaxing, creative, social and sporting options. Choice is important to us, and we let you make your decision as close to the activity times as possible. We make full use of all that the island has to offer, and allow space for chilling out, especially in good weather.
At KX6 we'll be staying outdoors in either cabins or big tents. We have good showers, and indoor facilities for cooking, dining, games and meetings. Most days include a lively “Roadshow” – an all together TV studio type event with messy games, challenges, chants, and much more. It’s a popular daily event which young people love being part of, and in which team members can be seen in a new light. We will have a mixture of activities and games in the morning and sign up options in the afternoon.
Through out the week we will explore the bible together, and have a range of entertainment including a ceilidh and games evening, a “KX6 has talent” type event, and some unique wide games all around Kingscross point. We take a theme every year and from the theme we design group names, themed activities and room decorations. We’ve had “Clans”, “Highlanders & Islanders”, “Movies”, “Continents” and “Disney vs Pixar”. This year? We’ll decide in May!
For our core team, who enjoy one another’s company, it’s a highlight of the year. They love to ensure that we have a lively, highly entertaining and exciting week with a high proportion of young people returning each year.
Your team leaders for this holiday are Lindsay Glover & Andrew McKay.

Being on an island brings its own special sense of adventure and the beautiful island of Arran is an amazing location with fantastic outdoor activities, great beaches, impressive mountains, a historic castle and loads more to see and do. Right by the water and and with a view of the Holy Isle our campsite is the ideal place to stay for a great island holiday.
Our campsite near Whiting Bay is close to the sea and sleeping in our brand new cabins means there’s a truly outdoor feel to the holiday. There are loads of great facilities nearby and on site so there will never be a shortage of things to do here.
While this is a predominantly outdoor site there are indoor facilities which include a dining room, meeting room, toilets and showers. So whatever the weather, you will be able to enjoy a lovely meal and some meeting times inside as well as out.
Kingscross is on the island of Arran, just across the water from Ardrossan where your ferry will depart from. It is not far from Whiting Bay on the east side of the island.
